ELION LINE BALANCE

Temple and cheek hollows, and facial contoursLine Balance

We first distinguish volume loss, sagging and the influence of muscle.

WHAT WE ASSESS

Six areas assessed in Line Balance

Temple volume

We assess how temple hollowing and the side profile affect the prominence of the cheekbone.

True lateral-cheek hollowing

We distinguish a surface shadow from genuine volume deficiency beneath the skin.

Cheekbone and anterior cheek

Front and oblique views help clarify why the cheekbone appears prominent.

Sagging and elasticity

We ask whether tightening should come before adding volume.

Muscle and fat

Masseter and lower-face volume are considered in the overall contour.

Jawline continuity

The visual flow from temple to lateral cheek and jawline is reviewed.

SELECT BY ROLE

Support, tightening and muscle modulation have different roles.

VOLUME

True deficiency

Filler or collagen-stimulating treatment may support a genuinely hollow area in a measured way.

TIGHTENING

Sagging and elasticity

RF and other tightening approaches may be considered when adding volume is not the first priority.

MUSCLE

Muscle bulk and movement

Botulinum toxin may be considered when muscles such as the masseter meaningfully affect the contour.

DO NOT OVERFILL

Choosing not to add

Areas with enough tissue volume are not automatically filled; other directions are discussed.

PRODUCTS & EQUIPMENT

Equipment and treatment options

The treatment area, skin condition and response guide the choice of devices, products and sequence.

Lifting and skin-firming devices

  • Ultherapy PRIME
  • Thermage FLX
  • Liftera2
  • Ollawave

Fillers

  • Neuramis · Belotero

Skin boosters

  • Juvelook Volume
  • Re2O
  • CellREDM

Thread lifting

  • MINT thread lifting

Contour and expression-line toxin

  • Coretox · Xeomin

We do not plan facial contour treatment from a single front-facing photo.

We assess front, oblique and side views, then add expression and palpation. Swelling, bruising, tenderness or temporary warmth may occur depending on the selected method, so timing and recovery are planned together.

  • Share previous filler, thread, lifting and facial surgery history.
  • We define the range of change in the whole face before focusing on one area.
  • The contour is reassessed after initial change settles before deciding on more treatment.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Frequently asked questions

Do hollow temples and lateral cheeks always need filler?
No. Filler or collagen stimulation is considered only when true volume loss is present. Sagging, muscle or fat may call for a different approach.
How do you distinguish volume loss from sagging?
We assess front, oblique and side contours and gently move the tissue to see whether the hollow is fixed or related to downward tissue movement.
Can lifting and volume treatment be combined?
They can be combined when both problems are present, but they do not have to be performed on the same day. Priority and recovery may favor a staged plan.
Will my face look larger or overfilled?
We identify areas that already have enough volume and avoid automatically filling them. The aim is a smoother connection, not making one feature larger.
How many sessions are needed?
That depends on the selected method and goal. The result is reassessed after it settles before maintenance or additional treatment is considered.
What should I prepare for consultation?
Note the points that bother you most from the front and side, previous treatment names and dates, important events, and how much change you hope to see.
