ELION CARE
Its role in Elion programs
During a Spot Clear consultation, we assess the cause of skin color changes or scaling and plan care based on examination and test findings.
How it works
A collected sample is examined under magnification. A KOH test looks for fungal structures such as filaments or spores.
How we use it
It is a diagnostic tool for distinguishing the causes of lesions that may resemble scars or pigmentation concerns.
Other concerns we assess
It helps distinguish fungal conditions that cause color changes and scaling, such as tinea versicolor.
Before your treatment
- Clinical examination and any necessary tests are selected according to the possible cause of the color change.
- Depending on the sample, repeat testing or a different test may be needed.
