ASSESSMENT

What we assess

Surface & edges

Roughness and scar edge differences help define the area and depth of surface treatment.

Depression & tethering

Surface concerns are distinguished from deeper tethering or volume loss, which may need additional focal treatment.

Skin tone & recovery time

Previous pigment changes, recent procedures and your schedule guide treatment intensity and recovery planning.

TREATMENT & CARE

Treatment & care by clinical role

Lotus III · Er:YAG

An Er:YAG laser targeting tissue water, selected after assessing surface texture and scar edges.

U-Pulse · CO₂

Fractional delivery and treatment area are tailored to surface and scar texture, followed by appropriate wound and recovery care.

PicoWay · pico fractional

A fractional handpiece delivers energy into microscopic zones. Its role in texture and depressed scars is evaluated separately from pigment-targeting delivery.

RECOVERY & DAILY CARE

Recovery & everyday care

Redness, warmth, swelling, crusts and downtime depend on the method and intensity. Cleansing, moisturizing and protection instructions account for pigment change and infection risk. Avoid picking or adding irritating products; contact the clinic for worsening pain or discharge.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Frequently asked questions

Is fractional the name of one device?

It describes energy delivered in microscopic treatment zones. Mechanism and recovery vary by laser, handpiece and settings.

Is fractional laser the same as microneedle RF?

Lasers deliver light energy; microneedle RF delivers radiofrequency through needles. Surface and dermal findings guide their different roles.

Can laser alone address every deep scar?

Depth, opening, tethering and volume are assessed. TCA CROSS, treatments addressing tethering or scar filler may be considered for the relevant scar pattern.
