LOWER-EYELID SCARS

Lower-eyelid surgery scars

After lower-eyelid surgery, we assess the incision below the lashes alongside eyelid position and closure. Dryness, tearing and changes in vision are evaluated separately from the scar's appearance.

01 / ASSESSMENT

What we assess

01

Incision and surface

We inspect redness, pale lines, stitch marks and small surface steps.

02

Eyelid position and closure

We assess pulling, outward turning, asymmetry and whether the eyes close comfortably.

03

Eye symptoms

We review the onset and course of dryness, irritation, tearing and visual changes.

02 / TREATMENT PLAN

A plan matched to the scar

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Questions, answered

Is a photograph with my eyes open enough?

Open- and closed-eye views help compare the incision and closure. Eyelid position and movement also require an examination.

Can I discuss tightness or watering?

Yes. We distinguish scar tension from eyelid-position or eye-surface problems and arrange ophthalmic or surgical review when needed.

What if my vision suddenly worsens or I have severe eye pain?

Do not wait for a routine scar consultation. Seek immediate care from your surgical team or an emergency eye service.
