PHILTRUM · LIP-LIFT SCARS

Lip-lift scars

We assess the colour, thickness, depressions and edges of the incision beneath the nose after a lip lift. We also check upper-lip tightness and asymmetry during speech and smiling.

01 / ASSESSMENT

What we assess

01

Incision colour

Red, brown and pale areas are assessed separately from the surrounding skin.

02

Thickness and contour

We examine raised areas, stitch marks, depressions and a widened scar line.

03

Expression and tension

We compare relaxed and smiling expressions to locate tightness and changes in movement.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Questions, answered

What is treated first after a lip lift?

We identify the main concern—colour, thickness, surface or tightness—and plan treatment after examining wound healing and the surrounding skin.

Can you assess tightness when I smile?

Yes. We examine scar tethering and movement. If lip position or the surgical structure needs assessment, we recommend a review with your operating surgeon.

How is the number of sessions decided?

The plan and intervals are adjusted according to scar depth, its current condition and recovery after treatment.
